House is one of the few television programs I follow (online, of course). I am often moved by the elegance with which the writers translate complex ethical and moral issues into the context of the hospital. Dr. House is one of my favorite fictional characters. He perfectly embodies nihilism, and I often find myself sympathizing with him. Perhaps more than I’d like to believe, I often struggle with the questions that he has come to terms with. Though the answers he has found may not be pleasing, I hope to one day deal with the answers I find, but hopefully without substance addiction and prostitutes.
